Happy Halloween!!

Newsletter for Halloween Week 2015!
Boo to all Bebes! There seems to be no end to dolls in the news this week.  Blythe-Con recently wrapped up, and Antique Doll Collector Magazine featured many doll shows and auctions in its listings, published in the November 2015 issue.  McDonald's is offering "The Minions" on its Halloween Pails, a tradition, and will release Peanuts Happy Meal Toys. New dolls are everywhere; Iris Clops joins Monster High, while American Girl will retire Grace. Madame Alexander has introduced Pixie Doodles, 9 inch Fairies with dresses you can color with Crayloa crayons.  Another Shirley Temple Auction is approaching, hence an update of our tribute to her. Here, also, are another installment of "The Witch of Blackbird Pond" and dolls, as well as the selected bibliography for doll scholars. Finally, here is an update of a profile of our talented and generous friend, paper doll artist Stephanie Hammonds. Next week, more posts on dolls in TV drama, on interesting others in collecting dolls, and much more!

AUTUMN, HALLOWEEN AND CHRISTMAS ARE COMING!

With the end of summer, the gardens have been transformed by autumnal hues. If you're visiting this month, make sure you pick up an Autumn Colour Trail on arrival, and you'll be treated to the top autumn walks and colour hotspots.
We'll be fully immersed in Halloween horror throughout the Half Term break. There will be themed craft workshops, tales in the Haunted House and a spooky trail for the brave! In November the first ever Commando series is coming to Hever Castle - you'll have to be brave to participate in this gruelling event too!
Christmas is also just around the corner... Tickets for Christmas Around the World and Twilight Christmas are selling fast. With limited tickets remaining, book now if you want to indulge in the magic of Christmas at the Castle.
We really care about the safety of our visitors and would therefore like to remind you that bikes and scooters are prohibited from the grounds due to the potential accidents and disturbance they may cause.
As the nights draw in, from enjoying autumnal walks, to discovering ghosts and ghouls, now is the perfect time to visit and witness the seasons change within the wonderful gardens.
